Hard Rock Sportsbook Sports Betting
Sports betting at Hard Rock Sportsbook is not a good experience for New Jersey bettors. The layout is too simplistic and almost child-like, which is off-putting as games take up too much space on the page.
The sports offering is very poor, with only a handful available to bet on, and there are no promotions outside of the welcome offer for bettors in either state.
Hard Rock Sportsbook have separate websites for New Jersey and Iowa bettors with distinctly different layouts. If you go from using one site to the other, it is like using a completely different sportsbook.
The Iowa site is slightly better with a more developed layout and easier navigation, but it is hardly appealing compared to other major sportsbooks like BetMGM and PointsBet.

Bettors looking to wager on more niche sports should look elsewhere, though, such as at the two sites listed above.

Bet Slip
Hard Rock Sportsbook’s bet slip varies by state. Iowa’s is better as it is unobtrusive, allowing you to still see the full page to add other selections. It also offers boosted returns on parlays of three legs or more, up to a maximum of 19 selections.
It has separate tabs for straight bets, parlays, and teasers, as well as one for Bet Builder. It is not clear how to access the Bet Builder tab as adding selections that would create a Same Game Parlay on other betting sites does not have the same effect at Hard Rock Sportsbook.
The New Jersey bet slip does not have the parlay boost or Bet Builder option, and curiously there is no ability to do teasers.
Hard Rock Sportsbook’s Iowa bet slip is significantly better than the New Jersey one, and the betting site would be wise to make their NJ more like the IA bet slip.
You can easily switch between different bet types or go to the ‘My Bets’ tab and check out all your wagers.
Once you have everything settled, click the button at the bottom of the screen to confirm your bet.

Hard Rock Sportsbook offers plenty of range in terms of markets but there is little depth in any of them.
Player props are particularly limited and alternate spreads are at the discretion of the sportsbook, rather than allowing the bettor to choose any number of points.

NFL
NFL betting is one of Hard Rock Sportsbook’s better offerings although it is still some way from being one of the best in the US.
Their odds are usually competitive but they are seriously let down by their lack of markets and failure to have any promotions.
As well, Hard Rock are slow at adding ample markets to games. For instance, we found that player props were not added to fixtures until the day of the game, whilst other sportsbooks include them much earlier.

Hard Rock Sportsbook certainly have a lot of room for improvement when it comes to NFL betting, with their 46 markets paling in comparison to the likes of FanDuel Sportsbook’s 147.
Football Promotions at Hard Rock Sportsbook
Hard Rock Sportsbook do not offer any football betting promotions. Having even just one would make them slightly more desirable as a betting site.
NBA
The NBA season was still some weeks away from starting at the time of this Hard Rock Sportsbook review, so the site only has very basic betting markets up.
This is the same situation as other major sportsbooks, with them all offering only spread, moneyline and totals.

Hard Rock Sportsbook will surely offer more comprehensive NBA betting when the season begins but their other sports suggest the number of markets will be fewer than their competitors.

Hard Rock Sportsbook have a decent range of NHL betting markets, although they are still lacking player props with the season only a couple of weeks away from starting.

There are no hockey promotions available at Hard Rock Sportsbook and based on other sports, this does not seem like it will change when the season starts.
MLB
Hard Rock Sportsbook are good at adding MLB betting markets quickly, considering how thick and fast games are played. As well, their odds are extremely competitive and MLB betting is by far Hard Rock’s best offering.
The number of markets available is minimal, though, offering just 44 compared to the 92 available at FanDuel Sportsbook.

There is very little college sports betting at Hard Rock Sportsbook. Although they do offer betting on every game, they have very few markets available.
State regulations in Iowa and New Jersey do prevent certain games and markets from being available to wager on, but regardless of that, Hard Rock’s college betting is still poor.

Hard Rock Sportsbook’s variety of payment methods means there is enough for everyone, but they could improve by offering more for withdrawal.

Hard Rock Sportsbook have mobile apps for both iOS and Android, with each state having their own individual app. Iowa bettors need to download the app for their state and New Jersey customers the same for theirs.

New Jersey bettors on iPhone will find the app in the App Store, but those on Android have to download the APK file from the Hard Rock Sportsbook site on your phone. After the file has downloaded to your phone, click on it to install it.

Both Hard Rock Sportsbook’s apps are not very good experiences. Whilst the layouts are identical to the desktop site, the apps are prone to crashing and random logging out.
